Surface waves in self-reinforced elastic solids
Author(s): Anita Sehrawat
Abstract: The frequency equations of Love type of surface waves propagating in two layered (one layer lying over a half-space) of self-reinforced transversely isotropic homogeneous elastic media are derived in two cases. (i) when the upper surface has rigid boundary (ii) when upper surface is stress free. The frequency equations in two particular cases (i) when only the lower half-space is homogeneous isotropic with no reinforcement (ii) when both the half-space and the layer are homogeneous isotropic in absence of reinforcement are derived and compared, with the results already exist.
